deafPLUS is a charity that has been supporting deaf people and their families for over 30 years. Our mission is to ensure that all deaf people, regardless of their age, stage in life and background, have the opportunity to live full and fulfilling lives.
We are committed to providing specialist services and support, offering advice, care and guidance to deaf people and their families. Our team of dedicated staff are always looking for ways to create positive outcomes for the deaf community.

Activities that support mental wellbeing
Health and Wellbeing projects provide a range of activities and workshops for deaf and hard of hearing people, bringing deaf and hard of hearing people together across communities to reduce isolation and improve their wellbeing.

Personal Assistance
One-to-one support service
We provide one to one support to deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind people to maintain and improve their quality of life. Our PA support meets the needs of the clients and their requirement for daily activities with a wide variety of support listed below but not limited to:

Accessing community

Translating letters including correspondence

Making appointments as well as attending appts if required by service user

Helping/teach them to learn how to use public transport, budgeting, nutrition; and much more.

WellBe
Range of activities for over 50s
The WellBe project provides a range of activities and workshops for D/deaf and hard of hearing people, over 50.
By increasing social participation, helping them to improve their lifestyles and being able to live independently reduces social isolation and improves their wellbeing.
