deafPLUS is a charity that works to empower deaf people and those with hearing impairments to live independent and fulfilling lives. We provide assistance and advice on a range of topics, from health and welfare to education and employment. Our goal is to ensure that deaf people receive the same opportunities and access to services as everyone else.
We are committed to ensuring that the deaf community has the same access to quality advice and support when needed. deafPLUS is a charity that is dedicated to helping deaf people be the best version of themselves and to lead fulfilling lives.

AdviceLine
An inclusive hub for deaf friendly advice
Our AdviceLine service to those who are Deaf or hard of hearing anywhere in England to develop independence and wellbeing.
You can access our service through a variety of digital platforms including WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom and Skype.

We can support you with understanding documents written in complex English for any of the categories above. We can also help you with form filling, dealing with mandatory reconsiderations, appeals and preparations for assessments.

Offering support for hearing and sight loss
deafPLUS in Bath and North-East Somerset, also known as visionPLUS, offer a range of services for people with both hearing loss and sight loss, and our service provided is tailored to our individual client. Some of the services for those with sight loss we provide are:

Information, advice & guidance about living with sight loss,

Benefits Advice: including form filling, attendance at medical assessments, dealing with reconsiderations and appeals and attendance at Tribunals, and

Signposting to relevant health services and social/rehabilitation services
MAS
The Mobile Advisory ServiceÂ
The Mobile Advisory Service (MAS) is a vehicle that goes around the county of Somerset raising awareness, give equipment demonstrations, and provide information on deafness and Deaf issues.
