BSL Advice Caseworker (Ealing)

This an exciting time to join the deafPLUS team! This service will be the first point of contact for Deaf British Sign Language users in Ealing to receive accessible advice through face-to-face and digital video platforms such as Skype and FaceTime.

This is an exciting role which will help us to deliver an information and advice service to residents in Ealing. 

Please note you will be required to have familiarity with British Sign Language (BSL) to apply for this role. 

Summary

As an Information and Advice Caseworker, you will provide an Information & Advice casework service to help with issues relating to Housing, Welfare Benefits, Money Management, Employment, consumer, and other areas of social welfare.

You will help the clients to resolve their issues by helping them to prioritise their issues, understand letters, support them to fill forms and challenge decisions, contact relevant organisations such as the DWP, and signpost to other specialist services.

Under this role you will also network with local authorities and local organisations to develop referral pathways.
