• Drop in sessions in Access Croydon in the morning and appointment sessions for more complex casework in the afternoon. Drop in sessions will usually last for 30 minutes and will be used to assess the complexity and urgency of the enquiry.
• Supporting d/Deaf people to complete their claims for PIP, Tax Credits, Incapacity Benefit / Employment and Support Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit and applications to the Social Fund. The service will also be able to represent people from the d/Deaf community at Appeal Tribunals.
• Video and phone calls for Croydon residents, including the use of Skype to increase accessibility of the service. This includes promotion of and better access to the national BSL Advice Helpline
• IT training to ensure clients are better able to independently manage their Universal Credits online.
