Job Title: (Maternity cover until end of March 2019) – Living with Hearing Loss (LWHL) Project Manager & Trainer
Location: Office based/home based, working across London
Salary: 15 hours per week – (FTE £25,781 – £27,436)
Reports to: Bromley Centre Manager
deafPLUS is a registered medium-sized charity and company limited by guarantee working to encourage integration and equality between deaf and hearing people in all areas of life. We provide a range of services from Advocacy to Employment, equipment to information and advice across 5 centres around the UK.
deafPLUS is seeking someone to support older people to manage the difficulties experienced by losing their hearing. This is achieved by providing access to appropriate information, skills and services in an empathic learning environment. The LWHL Project Manager & Trainer will deliver a programme of activities to maintain and develop lip reading skills and provide support on other aspects of living with a hearing loss.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST
- a) To deliver the LWHL classes across London and work closely with freelance tutors.
- b) To network with appropriate organisations and people to provide information, advice and support to the LWHL group.
- c) Produce project reports and monitoring of the service.
- d) To line manage LWHL Project Administrator – Marketing and PR
