Fundraise for us
Thinking about getting involved with our work? There are lots of ways for you to make a positive difference, and here are a few ideas.
Complete a sponsored challenge
Sign up for a sponsored walk, run, trek in the name of deafPLUS. Advocate Events run a host of exciting challenges throughout the year. Click here.
Bake us a cake.
Everyone loves cake. Why not organise a ‘bake-off’ competition at your workplace. Charge each competition entrant £1, and then sell slices of the cakes to your colleagues.
Fun Sports Day
You have a local park, school field or beach? Why not organise a fun sports day and invite teams to enter. Competitions can include egg and spoon races, three legged races, welly or handbag throwing. With a little imagination, the list is endless. You can get local shops to donate small prizes for the winning teams, and charge an entrance fee for teams and spectators, or simply shake a bucket.
Have a collection box on your counter
Work in a shop, cafe or pub? Or have an office reception? If you could host one of our collection boxes, get in touch and we’ll send you one.
Come Dine With …. You.
Cook a slap-up meal for friends…. maybe with a particular theme. Charge them either a fixed amount to attend, or ask them to donate whatever they think it would have been worth in a restaurant.
In-memory donations in lieu of flowers
Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a positive way of commemorating a life, by enabling others to make the most of theirs.
Asking for donations instead of gifts is a great way to get family and friends to mark your special occasion. Please drop us a line to let us know, so that we can say thank you!
