deafPLUS is a registered medium-sized charity and company limited by guarantee working to encourage integration and equality between deaf and hearing people in all areas of life. We provide a range of services from Advocacy to Employment, equipment to information and advice across 7 centres around the UK.
deafPLUS is seeking a ETV Programme Co-ordinator for 6 months, to provide advice, guidance, signposting and customer representation to adult residents and to co-ordinate training workshops in the following areas:
- ETV South Hants / Southampton Programme Co-ordinator covering Eastleigh, Fareham and Southampton
This project will support people from the following client groups:
- Who are economically inactive
- With sensory impairments including people who are both blind and deaf
- Who have other needs/complex issues that require signposting and support to access other appropriate provision
This can include deaf and/or disabled people who cannot speak English as a first language.
ETV South Hants / Southampton Programme Co-ordinator: 18.75 hours per week.
Place of work
This is a peripatetic role; the post holder whilst having office facilities at deafPLUS Aldershot, will be expected, on a rotational basis, to work from home and three drop-in locations. Personnel will be expected to accompany clients to interviews where necessary as well as provide support at induction stages of employment.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Southern Counties Manager at deafPLUS Aldershot.
Salary is £19,240.00 pro-rata. (This is a fixed term contract until March 31st 2018)
