Meet deafPLUS team members, get information about deafness and deaf issues and meet others with a hearing loss.

Advocacy

An advocacy service for deaf and hard of hearing people living in Birmingham. Surgeries and workshops offer free personal and practical support on a range of issues including:

  • Benefits,Housing and Legal AdviceWork and training
  • Disability Discrimination Act.

We hold outreach surgeries in Soparkhill and Newtown in the Birmingham area. Please see below for posters.

Volunteers

The service is looking for volunteers for the following:

  • General Office Duties
  • Help with self-help grfoups
  • Communication
  • Training in advocacy issues
