Wellbeing officer – Birmingham

deafPLUS is a registered medium-sized charity and company limited by guarantee working to encourage integration and equality between D/deaf and hearing people in all areas of life. We provide a range of services from Advocacy to Employment, equipment to information and advice across 7 centres around the UK.
We are seeking an individual with great organisational and interpersonal skills to take on this role, based in Birmingham. The main task is to run a Information and Advice service one day a week as well as organising health related workshops as well as coordination a living with hearing loss class.
Working hours: Up to 18 hours per week until the end of September 2019. Job share will be considered.

Location: deafPLUS Birmingham (Custard Factory)
Salary: £18,027.88 per annum (pro-rata) – Freelancers considered.
This is a fixed term contract until 31st September 2019

Merton Information & Advice Officer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join deafPLUS to become our information and Advice officer in Merton.
From April 1st we are launching a new service based in Merton. This role will support d/Deaf people from Merton, providing accessible information and Advice on welfare benefits and all aspects of social welfare law and signposting, support service users to access their rights and welfare benefit entitlements.

Part-Time role: 16 hours per week over two days.

• 25 days Annual Leave & 8 days Bank Holidays (pro-rata)
• Salary- £25,433.87 – £26,168.32 (pro rata) depending on experience (Scale 526-530)
